It will be the second meeting between the clubs this season, after drawing the first 3-3 in a dramatic game that saw rookie Geoff Cameron score the tying goal on a long-range blast in second-half stoppage time.
Dallas will be aiming to build on an its first comeback victory of the season, a 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake last week. The win was the first under interim coach Marco Feruzzi after Steve Morrow was fired on May 20.

"It was an emotional game," Feruzzi said. "The boys did a brilliant job, they were spectacular. A lot of heart, a lot of effort, I couldn't ask for more.
"We asked for a committed performance from the boys that stepped out on the field, and that's exactly what they gave. You can't fault them for anything; complete heart, complete dedication, and complete commitment. And the boys that came on, they obviously sealed the deal, so everybody got the message."
After falling behind 1-0, Dominic Oduro, who entered the match in the 65th minute for Dallas, tied the score in the 83rd and added his second goal, the game winner, just seconds into stoppage time. The win broke a four-game winless streak.
"He's been training very, very hard; coming off a goal from last week," Feruzzi said of Oduro. "He has a lot of confidence and came in and did an excellent job for us."
"I think I really needed my first goal, which came in the last game," Oduro said of his three goals in the last two games. "And like every striker knows, it's what really sets you going."
Houston is coming off an opposite result, a 2-1 loss at the expansion San Jose Earthquakes.
"We didn't play particularly well," Houston coach Dominic Kinnear said. "But you can't point your performance on the field. I think we decided to start playing when it was 2-0."
After going behind 2-0 from goals by Kei Kamara and Ivan Guerrero, Brian Ching pulled one back for Houston in the 88th minute but it was too little too late for the back-to-back defending champs.
Houston, which will aim to improve on its 5-1-3 record all-time against FC Dallas on Wednesday will be without midfielder Ricardo Clark, because of his participation with the U.S. men's national team at England. There is a chance central defender Eddie Robinson will also be unavailable because of a knee injury he suffered at San Jose.
"I just went for the ball and I think (San Jose midfielder) Ryan Johnson elbow off my knee," he said. "I was waiting for the pain to go away and it never did. I sure hope to return."
