(Sports Network) - Katie Douglas, traded by the Connecticut Sun in the offseason, scored 23 points to lead the Indiana Fever past her former team, 75-46, at Mohegan Sun arena. Douglas played seven years for the Sun and was a two-time WNBA All-Star with the franchise before being dealt to Indiana in exchange for the 12th overall pick in the 2008 WNBA draft, forward Tamika Whitmore and the rights to guard Jessica Foley.
Tan White added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Fever, who improved to 2-1 in the early portion of the season. Ebony Hoffman contributed eight points, 13 boards and five assists as the Fever won despite a 6-for-13 performance at the free throw line.

Lindsay Whalen scored 13 points to pace the Sun, who suffered their first loss of the season following a 3-0 start. No other player reached double-digits for the Sun, who were just 18-of-60 from the floor and 3-for-21 from three-point range.
Indiana put the game away early, outscoring Connecticut 28-11 in the first quarter and opening up a 22-point halftime lead. The Sun were held to just seven points in the final quarter to prevent any comeback attempt.
