(Sports Network) - The Houston Dynamo and FC Dallas renew their Texas rivalry when they square off at Robertson Stadium on Saturday night.

The Dynamo (2-2-2) are riding a two-game winning streak and would love nothing more than to sink the Hoops deeper into the Western Conference basement. Houston's most recent win was 2-0 at New England.

"You always want to try and win. Look at the game last [Saturday] and Chivas was pulling away [in the Western table] so it's important for us to keep pace so this is a big three points for us," Houston coach Dominic Kinnear said. "For the guys' confidence, sure we played pretty well. Anytime you're below some people, it's important to try and pick up points no matter where you're are."

Houston got the game's first goal from Stuart Holden, his first of the season. His team is hoping more are to come in the near future though.

Dallas (1-5-1), on the other hand, is coming off consecutive losses. The most recent was 1-2 at D.C. united last weekend. Dallas inability to defend in the defensive third has been what has hindered it the most this season. Dallas has given up a league-high 14 goals so far.

"We've been able to address a lot of the goals that have been scored on us last year from the flanks. Now we're trying to address the number of goals that come through the middle," said Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman. "If you look at our last game against D.C. United, both goals came through the middle and the same player. So unanswered goals are very concerning but all we can do is continue addressing it."

Dallas will be aiming to win its first ever match in Houston, while the Dynamo have won four of the six overall league meetings between the teams.

Dallas captain Pablo Ricchetti is doubtful with a foot injury while goalkeeper Dario Sala and midfielder Marcelo Saragosa are questionable with their own injuries.

Houston will be without defender Eddie Robinson, who has been out all season, while defenders Danny Cruz and Wade Barrett are doubtful, all with injuries.
