(Sports Network) - The San Jose Earthquakes signed Trinidad and Tobago national team forward Cornell Glen on Tuesday.

Glen, 28, has been a regular with the Trinidad and Tobago national team since 2002, scoring 22 goals in 55 appearances. He was on Trinidad and Tobago's first FIFA World Cup team in 2006 and played in all three of the team's matches.

"Cornell brings a change of pace to the team that we don't have right now," San Jose General Manager of Soccer Operations John Doyle said. "He is a good-all around player. He has been able to score goals at the international level and we are looking forward to seeing the impact that he makes in MLS."

Glen previously played in MLS from 2004-06 with the MetroStars, the Columbus Crew, the Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas and the Los Angeles Galaxy. He scored six goals in 18 games in his first year in MLS with the MetroStars in 2004, and has 12 goals and six assists in 45 career appearances.

Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. He will count as an international on the Earthquakes senior roster. To comply with MLS roster rules, the Earthquakes also placed forward Davide Somma on waivers.
