Basketball star Magic Johnson wants to give the Washington Hilton Hotel a major facelift.
The former Lakers star leads a group of investors that has bought the hotel for $290 million. He was at the D.C. landmark on Thursday to discuss major renovations he's planning. It will be a new look for the 1119-room building that includes city's largest ballroom.
The Washington Hilton is known as the DC address of countless celebrities. It's also the place where John Hinkley shot President Ronald Reagan in 1981.
