Three-time Pro Bowl linebacker LaVar Arrington will remain in the hospital at least a few more days as he recovers from arm and leg injuries from a motorcycle accident earlier this week, according to his attorney. Arrington broke his right forearm and had severe lacerations in his leg after crashing on a highway ramp Monday.

"He's in great spirits," said Arrington's attorney, Rosalyn Pugh, who visited Arrington on Thursday. "He's his usual charming self with the smile."

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Pugh said Arrington expects to be released from Prince George's Hospital Center sometime next week.

Arrington, who turned 29 on Wednesday, has been issued two citations - one for operating a motorcycle without a proper license and the other for the crash itself.

The injuries are a setback to Arrington's already tenuous football career. The former Washington Redskins star was cut by the New York Giants in February, four months after tearing his Achilles' tendon in yet another injury-marred season.

"He's not talking about that," Pugh said. "He's just talking about how blessed he is to be in one piece given the accident he's been in."
