Police: Officers Shot, Killed Armed Man

Montgomery County (web|news) Police shot and killed an armed man Friday night in Silver Spring.
The shooting happened inside an apartment complex around 6 p.m. in the 700 block of University Blvd.
Police say officers shot a 25-year-old man. They said he was armed when the police officer shot him. He was transported to an area hospital where he died.
No police officers were hurt, but two officers were placed on administrative traumatic incident leave.
Police could not say if this shooting was related to the shooting in the 600 block of University Boulevard at the end of May.
