The Galaxy will be looking for a little revenge after opening their season with a convincing loss to Colorado at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
The team is also aiming to rebound from a loss in its last league fixture, a 2-0 loss at Toronto. The Galaxy played that game without Landon Donovan and David Beckham, who were in Europe on international duty, and it showed with a nonexistent offense.

"It's difficult missing Landon and David," L.A.'s Chris Klein said. "But we're going to have to deal with it because in this league you play games when the national teams play too, so we're going to have games where we're missing those guys."
"I think that we started under circumstances pretty well, and not much chances from both sides," L.A. coach Ruud Gullit said. "If you see how we started, first touch we give it away, second ball we touch, we give it away and that sets the tone."
Beckham will return for the Galaxy, but Donovan will probably miss it with a groin injury that resulted in him being left off the U.S. roster for a friendly on Sunday vs. Argentina at Giants Stadium in New Jersey.
The Rapids are coming off a win in their last league fixture that propelled them to the top of the Western table, one point up on L.A., Houston and Chivas USA.
Conor Casey returned for the Rapids in their win last week and added another dimension to the attack as well as a goal in the 2-1 win over FC Dallas.
"We played maybe longer balls than we ever did before, but we had somebody to play to, which was Conor Casey," Rapids coach Fernando Clavijo said. "He did extremely well when he was on the field. But I think overall, the attitude, the precision of the players to work a couple steps more for somebody else, was key for us."
