D.C. transportation officials are looking into ways of relieving traffic woes in the congested roadways of Georgetown.
The District Department of Transportation released a draft study that gave seven of 25 Georgetown intersections an "F" during peak times. The average delays exceeded three minutes in some of those areas.
The report projects that by 2015, 12 of the 25 intersections will get "F's." It says average delays will rise to more than 10 minutes at 35th Street and Reservoir Road in the northwest Washington neighborhood.
The study contains several proposals, such as changing some streets from two-way to one-way and altering parking rules for some spots along M Street.
The transportation department's study group is slated to make a final recommendation on the issue later in the year.
