O'Malley to Announce New Prince George's Hospital Center Panel

Governor Martin O'Malley has scheduled a news conference Friday with Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson to announce the members of the state-county authority that will find a new owner for Prince George's Hospital Center.
The panel will consist of three people appointed by the county, three appointed by O'Malley and one chosen jointly by the House and Senate.
O'Malley spoke Thursday on WTOP's "Ask the Governor" program and says he's optimistic the financially troubled hospital can be saved.
He says letting the hospital close is not an option, because he says too many people in the Washington area would be affected.
