(Sports Network) - Dallas Cowboys fourth-year defensive end Chris Canty agreed to sign a one-year restricted tender on Wednesday. Canty, who had been looking for a long-term deal, inked a contract worth just over $2 million for 2008.
The 25-year-old Virginia product and native of the Bronx started in all 16 regular-season contests in 2007 for the Cowboys, recording 43 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks along with a blocked field goal.

Canty has started 34 of 48 games for Dallas over three seasons, tallying 112 tackles, seven sacks and one forced fumble.
