Lifeguards and medics are being credited with saving a young girl's life after she was found at the bottom of the deep end of a pool.
It happened shortly after 6 p.m. in the 1600 block of Martha Terrace at the Rollins Park Community Pool.
The 8-year-old girl was found at the bottom of the pool unconscious. She was was pulled from the pool, she was not breathing either. Lifeguards began rescue breathing until paramedics arrived.
The girl was then flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital. The young victim is expected to survive.
It's not clear what happened to the girl that caused her near-drowning.
