A seven-member panel has been appointed to find a new owner for the financially foundering Prince George's Hospital Center.
The hospital authority will seek bids from health care companies who could take over the struggling medical system. The bidding process must be finished before next year's session of the Maryland General Assembly.
Gov. Martin O'Malley has appointed Andrea Fuchek, Karen Shaheed and Dr. Joseph Wright.
Prince George's County officials have named Thomas Himler, Stanley Brown and Kenneth Glover, who will chair the authority.
Glover is currently a senior vice president of state and local banking at PNC Bank.
Dr. Donald Wilson was appointed by the Maryland Senate president and House speaker.
