Drivers Warned of Overnight Wilson Bridge Lane Closures

The Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project is warning drivers about a series of overnight lane closures in June. The road work begins Friday night and lasts through Thursday, June 19.
Crews will be milling and paving portions of the Inner and Outer Loop between Telegraph Road and Route 1 in Alexandria (web|news) .
- Thursday, June 12: Starting at 9:00pm and ending no later than 5:00am on Friday
Inner Loop (I-495 South) reduced from three lanes to one west of Route 1 to West of Telegraph Road. - Friday, June 13: Starting at 9:00pm and ending no later than 8:00am Saturday
Inner Loop (I-495 South) reduced from three lanes to one west of Route 1 to West of Telegraph Road. - Saturday, June 14: Starting at 9:00pm and ending no later than 8:00am Sunday
Outer Loop (I-495 North) reduced from three lanes to one west of Telegraph Road to West of Route 1. - Sunday, June 15: Starting at 9:00pm and ending no later than 5:00am Monday
Outer Loop (I-495 North) reduced from three lanes to one west of Telegraph Road to West of Route 1. - Monday, June 16: Starting at 9:00pm and ending no later than 5:00am Tuesday
Outer Loop (I-495 North) reduced from three lanes to one west of Telegraph Road to West of Route 1. - Tuesday, June 17: Starting at 9:00pm and ending no later than 5:00am Wednesday
Outer Loop (I-495 North) reduced from three lanes to one west of Telegraph Road to West of Route 1. - Wednesday, June 18: Starting at 9:00pm and ending no later than 5:00am Thursday
Outer Loop (I-495 North) reduced from three lanes to one west of Telegraph Road to West of Route 1.
On any given night, the lane closures will only be implemented in one direction (i.e. I-95 North or South but not both). In the event of inclement weather, the overnight work may be extended beyond the next Thursday, June 26.
The Wilson Bridge Project is also warning drivers about a planned raising of the drawbridge on Saturday, June 14th. Traffic will be stopped at 7:00 p.m. on both the Inner and Outer Loop spans.
