A Montgomery County (web|news) woman is suing the senior living center where she lived, claiming she was on the floor for four days with a broken leg before workers found her.

Eighty-three-year-old Helen Friedman filed the lawsuit last week in Montgomery County Circuit Court, accusing Sunrise at Montgomery Village in Gaithersburg of "negligence and abuse." The lawsuit says she was unable to move after falling and fracturing her leg in her room in April. Friedman claims she was on the floor for more than four days before employees found her.

The facility is owned by McLean, Va.-based Sunrise Senior Living. Company Spokeswoman Meghan Lublin says Sunrise had not received the lawsuit, but planned to review the allegations.

Information from The Washington Post.

ABC 7 Talkback: Montgomery County Woman Sues Senior Living Home
Prettyboy
I really don't blame her at all.. I hope she gets a fortune from this. It's sad, that  we as Americans are  allow things like this to happen. I think every senior citizen home should have video survelliance and it should be linked into the police stations for viewing. When those overseeing the care of the elderly are caught up doing inappropiate things there butts should be carted off to jail for a long, long, long time. Such a long duration of time they will be needing care too..!!!
