(Sports Network) - Lisa Leslie had a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Connecticut Sun, 98-93, in overtime at Staples Center. Sidney Spencer had just six points, but hit the eventual game-winner in OT, while DeLisha Milton added 20 points and eight rebounds for the Sparks, who have won four of their last five.
Lindsay Whalen had 20 points and seven rebounds while Asjha Jones and Tamika Whitmore each donated 18 points for the Sun, who had a five-game winning streak stopped.

The Sparks held a four-point lead with under two minutes to play after Leslie buried a long jumper for an 87-83 lead. However, Whalen made the next two baskets to tie the game and LA's Marie Ferdinand-Harris missed a desperation jumper at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.
The Sun got the first three points of the overtime and after a Whitmore layup held a 92-89 lead with a bit over three minutes to play. However, Leslie countered with a layup to make it a one-point game.
Whalen then hit one-of-two from the line to gave Connecticut a 93-91 lead with 1:32 to play.
However, Spencer buried a three-pointer to give the Sparks a 94-93 advantage with 76 ticks left on the clock.
Whitmore missed a layup on the other end and after Candace Parker also missed a layup, Whalen and Jamie Carey were both called for personal fouls and Keisha Brown hit the free throws to seal the win.
