(Sports Network) - Gonzaga University junior guard Jeremy Pargo announced Monday that he is withdrawing from the upcoming NBA Draft. Pargo had announced on April 15 that he would make himself available for the draft but did not hire an agent, leaving open the option to return to school.
"After careful consideration, I have decided to withdraw from the 2008 NBA Draft," said Pargo. "Playing in the NBA is definitely a goal of mine and one I am confident I will accomplish. But, at this time, I think it is in my best interest to return to Gonzaga for my senior year. I am excited about our team next year and expect that we will accomplish great things as a group."

Pargo was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year this past season, averaging 12.1 points per game overall. He also led the conference in assists with 6.0 per game overall and 6.5 per game in WCC action.
