Kids who lodged recently at a camp in Carroll County may have brought more home than a suntan. County health officials say bedbugs were found this week in a cabin at the Hashawha Environmental Center near Westminster. While officials say the bugs don't pose a serious health risk, officials are sending letters to parents of campers who stayed there this month. County parks and recreation director Jeff Degitz says the cabin has been treated with pesticide and will be closed until next month. The mattresses have been thrown away. County officials say no bugs were found during an inspection of the cabin by health officials two weeks ago. Information from: Carroll County (Md.) Times.
