Towson Catholic standout and Syracuse University forward Donte Greene was chosen by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 28th overall pick in the NBA draft.
Linganore High School graduate Joe Alexander, who starred in college at West Virginia, was chosen with the 8th overall pick by Milwaukee. He he gets a guaranteed two-year contract worth $4,155,400 over two seasons.
Baltimore native Joey Dorsey, a power forward in college at Memphis, was by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 33rd selection.
University of Maryland forward James Gist was chosen by San Antonio late in the second round.
