Redskins Agree To Terms With Three Draft Picks

The Washington Redskins announced
some preseason changes Monday.
The team signed 2007 sixth-round draft selection linebacker H.B. Blades (179th overall) and have agreed to terms with fifth-round selection LB Dallas Sartz (143rd overall) and sixth-round selection QB Jordan Palmer (205th overall).
In addition, the Redskins also announced that they released former Maryland Terrapins quarterback Sam Hollenbach.
Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Blades became only the fifth player in Pitt school history to record over 400 tackles in a career. During his time with the Panthers, Blades registered 433 tackles (252 solo), four sacks, six interceptions and 15 pass deflections. His 433 tackles rank fifth in Big East Conference history. He appeared in 48 games with 36 starts at both middle and strong-side linebacker positions during his career. He is the son of former NFL player Bennie Blades.
Sartz played in 53 games with 34 starts during his five seasons at USC. He finished his collegiate career with 194 tackles (106 solo), 12.5 sacks, 16 pass deflections and two forced and recovered fumbles. During his final season, he led the Trojans with a career-high seven sacks.
Palmer played in 46 games at UTEP with 42 starts. He completed 851 of 1,427 passes (59.6%) for 11,084 yards and 88 touchdowns, all all-time school records. His 88 touchdowns rank 13th in NCAA Division I-A history.
