(Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens signed goaltender Marc Denis to a one-year, two-way contract, the club announced Thursday. Denis played in 10 games last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and posted a 1-5-0 record and 4.05 goals-against average. The previous year he went 17-18-2 in 44 games for Tampa Bay with a 3.19 GAA.

In 348 career NHL games with Colorado, Columbus, and the Lightning, Denis owns a 112-179-28-3 record and 3.02 GAA with 16 shutouts. He was originally the 25th overall selection in the 1995 draft by Colorado.
