Prince George's County police have released surveillance photos of four suspected robbers who could be linked to a series of convenience store stickups, purse snatchings and a police chase, according to sources.

Investigators say the four men covered their faces before robbing a convenience store in the 6500 block of Coventry Way in Clinton on Monday night. The suspects pulled out handguns and demanded money, police said. The clerk complied and the men took off. No one was hurt.

One robber was described as black, about 25 years old, 6'1" and 150 pounds. The other three were said to be black males, about 20 years of age.

Investigators say they believe the suspects may be linked to two additional armed robberies involving convenience stores, one Monday night on Surratt's Road and one Tuesday night at the 7-Eleven on Piscataway Road.

Investigators are also trying to determine if the robbers are responsible for a crime spree in Cheverly Tuesday morning that led to a police chase which crossed into the District, said sources.

In that case, thieves were stealing purses from women as they pumped gas at stations.
