Interim Child and Family Services Head Has a Skeleton in the Closet

The District's interim attorney general, Peter Nickles, is standing by the appointment of psychologist Roque Gerald as interim head of the city's Child and Family Services agency.
Nickles says Gerald's record has been unblemished since 1989, when Gerald had sex with a suicidal and depressed woman he was counseling.
The woman later sued Gerald. Her attorney, William Burnside,said Sunday that Gerald's employer settled the case for a confidential amount.
Nickles says Gerald volunteered information about the case during the vetting process. The revelation about Gerald's history was first made public Friday by the newspaper Youth Today.

It seems to me that this man has already screwed up. A sexual preditor does not change. He abandoned common sense once and violated the law and professional responsibilities. I dont care if he ends up pushing pencils. He's not fit for this job and should have been ostracized from the medical/menatl health community.
But we're about to elect an incompetant junior senator, so who am I to complain about common sense.
