Metro is reporting a delay of 10 to 20 minutes between the Ft. Totten and Silver Spring Stations.
The delays are a result of a cracked rail outside the Takoma Station. Trains were sharing the same track between the two stations, but are no longer single tracking, according to ABC 7 reporter Greta Cruz.
The latest disruption comes just one day before Metro's board of directors is scheduled to vote on a major rehabilitation plan for the rail system's busiest line.
