(Sports Network) - The Detroit Shock announced Wednesday that forward Cheryl Ford will miss the remainder of the regular season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee.
Ford, the 2007 WNBA All-Star Game MVP, suffered the injury on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Sparks while coming down from grabbing a rebound with 2:06 to play in the fourth quarter.
Ford, who had surgery to repair a micro-fracture in her left knee this past offseason, averaged 10.1 points and 8.7 rebounds in 24 games this season.
