(Sports Network) - The NBA and Euroleague Basketball announced Wednesday that three European clubs will play five preseason games against NBA opponents this October.
2008 Euroleague champion CSKA Moscow, FC Barcelona and Lietuvos Rytas are slated to come to America from October 10-21 and play up to five exhibition contests against the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Clippers. At this point, only the Clippers' participation is in doubt.
"These games continue our collaboration with Euroleague basketball, as we work together to grow the game of basketball on a global basis," said NBA commissioner David Stern.

CSKA Moscow has the honor of kicking off the games, on October 10 in Orlando against the Magic. Lietuvas Rytas squares off against the Warriors in Oakland on October 21 in the final contest.
"We value the chance to partner with NBA teams in their own arenas," said Euroleague CEO Jordi Bertomeu. "There are basketball fans of all types in North America whom we plan to entertain with our own distinct playing style."
In addition, for the third consecutive season, NBA teams will head overseas to face European opponents.
The Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets and Washington Wizards (
