ARLINGTON, Va. - Arlington police have arrested a suspect in an attack on a couple early Thursday in South Arlington.
Around 2:54 a.m., police report, a man followed a 23-year-old woman into an elevator in a building on the 4200 block of South 31st Street. Exiting on the same floor, the man wrapped a towel around the woman's head and forced her into a stairwell.
The victim's boyfriend heard the struggle and came to her aid, interrupting the attempted assault. He chased the suspect, but the suspect attacked him as well and then fled the building.
Police officers blanketed the area searching for the suspect, bringing out K-9 units and a Fairfax County

They did locate the suspect and take him into custody: 39-year-old Leon Lamont Lynch of Woodbridge was charged with abduction with intent to defile and is being held without bond.
