NEW MARKET, Md. - Maryland State Police are on the look out for an armed suspect who lead them on a high speed chase Saturday afternoon.
It all started in downtown Frederick when a woman called police to say she had been threatened by a man with a gun at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Prospect Boulevard. Police began a pursuit of a black 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, which matched the suspect vehicle description given by the victim.
The pursuit reached speeds of 100 MPH before the suspect's car eventually flipped on its side, crashing into a creek Near Route 75 and Lime Plant Road in New Market.
No suspect has been located at this time. Police say he may go by the name "Dante." No other suspect information is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
