WASHINGTON -
The D.C. fire department reported that two firefighters were hurt in a fire at a row home on U Street Wednesday morning.
D.C. Fire and Rescue spokesman Alan Etter Tweeted that two firefighters were injured battling the blaze at a second-story end unit at 1655 U Street.
One firefighter suffered burns to both hands and right ankle, while another was burned in the neck area.
Etter also said that one civilian was transported to George Washington University Hospital with smoke inhalation, and that the fire was under control.
