Norton Reassured by Capitol Police
   posted 10:51 am Sat August 04, 2007 - WASHINGTON
D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton says Capitol police have reassured her that there is no credible reports of an impending terrorist attack on Congress. Norton met with House Sergeant-at-Arms Wilson Livingood and Capitol Police Assistant Chief Dan Nichols after police announced that they were preparing for a possible al-Qaida strike.

Norton says she was especially reassured when Nichols told her there was no reason people should avoid coming to Washington.
