Algae, like green tea, is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant: besides inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, it kills cancer cells without harming healthy tissue. So, drink up. Tuckmeister, the lead issue is still there. WASA is steadliy replacing lead service pipes on public property in the older sections of DC. They have changed the additives to the water, which has resulted from less lead leaching from the pipes.
