A 65-year-old Maryland foster mother's house will be torn down Monday after an oil leak contaminated her home.

In 2003, Delores Smith's above-ground heating oil tank on the side of her home suffered a leak and oil flowed underneath the length of the house into her front yard. Ms. Smith sued the oil company and a jury found Burch Oil negligent but did not reach a decision that provided her any funds for the clean up.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Since the spill, Smith has sought government aid but has yet to obtain any funding.

Smith has provided foster care for more than 100 children over her lifetime. She also has three adopted children who suffer from mental disabilities.

Barnes Builders is currently in the process of organizing a group of volunteers to help reconstruct a home for Ms. Smith and her children.
