Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway ramp to New York Avenue early Saturday morning.

U.S. Park Police say the man was hit first by a sport-utility vehicle, then struck and dragged by a second vehicle. Sources on the scene say that while the first driver stopped to call police, a second driver struck the body and dragged it for about two miles. The second driver drove to Montana and W. Streets in Northeast before realizing something was stuck under his car. When he saw the body, the second driver called the police.

Initial reports said the body is that of a Hispanic male.

The accident happened shortly after 5:30 a.m. Police are asking any witnesses to come forward.
