(Sports Network) - New York Mets catcher Ramon Castro left Saturday's 5-4 10-inning loss the Houston Astros with a mild right ankle strain.
With the bases loaded in the ninth and Billy Wagner on the mound to close the game, Houston had the bases loaded and Geoff Blum punched a single to left.
Mark Loretta waited at third to see if the hit was going to drop and arrived at home plate with Hunter Pence hot on his heels. Loretta then crashed into Castro and Pence arrived a split-second later and the catcher was unable to hold on to the ball, allowing both runners to score and tie the game.

Castro left the game and was replaced by Brian Schneider behind the plate.
On the season, Castro is hitting .272 with six home runs and 21 RBI in 34 games.
