(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons exercised their team option on guards Rodney Stuckey and Arron Afflalo, keeping both with the team through the 2009-10 season.
"We are pleased to have both Rodney Stuckey and Arron Afflalo signed through the 2009-10 season," President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars said. "Both players will continue to grow and mature within our system and we look forward to the contributions they will bring this season and beyond."
Stuckey, who was selected 15th overall in the 2007 draft, appeared in 57 games for the Pistons in his debut season averaging 7.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. The Eastern Washington product impressed in 17 playoff contests, starting two of those games for an injured Chauncey Billups, averaging 8.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Stuckey missed the first 25 games of the regular season with a broken left hand.

Afflalo, who was selected 27th overall out of UCLA in 2007, appeared in 75 games last season -- including nine starts -- averaging 3.7 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game.
