(Sports Network) - The Colorado Rapids will aim to get a positive result in the third match of the three-game homestand when they host the Kansas City Wizards at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday. The Rapids (6-10-3) are coming off back-to-back shutout losses on their home field, the most recent being 0-1 to Toronto.

"We may come out with the statistics that we outshot them completely and everything else, and blah, blah, blah, but today the effort was not there," Rapids coach Fernando Clavijo said. "Toronto came out to play, and we didn't come to play. I'm extremely disappointed and embarrassed with our performance."

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? The Rapids are currently in second-to-last in the dreadful Western Conference table, and have scored just three goals over their last four league fixtures.

"We were lacking that sense of urgency, the killer instinct," Colorado forward Herculez Gomez said. "When you see a team on the ropes, you have to have the fighter mentality of knocking them out. We lack that. We're still a team trying to find our identity. We've got 11 games to go, and you tell me what kind of team we are, because I don't think we know yet."

Kansas City (6-6-7), on the other hand, has just one loss in its last eight league fixtures, and is coming off a 3-2 victory over Chivas USA.

"I think we found something [in the attack]," Wizards coach Curt Onalfo said. "We've been tinkering with things a lot. Davy [Arnaud] and Josh [Wolff] are very good up top, and Claudio [Lopez] coming from the left and having Mikey [Harrington] coming from the right. The fact that we scored three goals and created an enormous amount of chances is encouraging."
