(Sports Network) - Jamaica's Melanie Walker earned yet another track gold for her country by winning the women's 400 meter hurdles in Olympic record fashion Wednesday at the Beijing Olympics.
Walker ran the track in 52.64 seconds to take .13 seconds off the Olympic mark set by Fani Chalkia of Greece four years ago at the Athens Games. Walker's time was the fourth-fastest in the history of the event.
Sheena Tosta of the United States won the silver medal with a time of 53.70 seconds and Great Britain's Tasha Danvers finished third in 53.84 seconds.

Walker's victory came just moments after fellow Jamaican Usain Bolt won the 200 meters in world record time, giving him two golds as well as two world marks in Beijing. Bolt also won the 100 on Saturday.
The Jamaicans have won seven medals, including four gold, at these Games and all of them have come in the track and field competition.
