District of Columbia police are investigating shootings that have left two men dead.

The shootings occurred in the city's troubled Trinidad neighborhood, which has recently been at the center of controversial police checkpoints and escalating violence.

Police say about 11 p.m. Saturday officers found 23-year-old Jason Harris of Centerville, Va., behind an apartment building on Morris Road in southeast D.C. Harris, who had multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to a hospital where he died a few hours later.

A short time later at 11:40 p.m., police found 21-year-old Kennan Woods lying in the street at Holbrook Terrace in northeast Washington, just blocks from his home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lets all give the ACLU and the self appointed civic minded leaders of this fine community a standing ovation for keeping the "polices" out of Trinidad.

I dont recall seeing Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackson in Trinadad.

Not a sermon, just a thought.
