DeLisha Milton-Jones added 13 points for LA, which was 1-4 in its last five coming in to Saturday. Tina Thompson ended with 10 points and six boards. Noelle Quinn had seven points and tied a career-high with seven rebounds.
Nicole Powell tallied a game-best 18 points for the Monarchs, who have dropped two of three. Ticha Penicheiro doled out a game-high eight assists.
