(Sports Network) - Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Juqua Parker was reportedly taken into custody early Wednesday morning after the player was apparently found in possession of marijuana while riding in a vehicle driven by teammate Todd Herremans.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the car was stopped near Lehigh University, the home of the Eagles' training camp, at 12:30 a.m. (et) at the intersection of Route 378 and North Mountain Drive in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Herremans, an offensive guard, was pulled over and cited for making an illegal left turn and driving without headlights, at which time a small amount of marijuana was found in the van. The players were said to be cooperative with officers.
Herremans was given a breathalyzer test and blew a .05, under the 0.08 legal limit, according to police.
The 32-year-old Parker, who resides in Medford, New Jersey, was released at 5:30 a.m. on $1,000 bail following a hearing.
