(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed punter Josh Bidwell on injured reserve Monday, and signed wide receiver Marcus Maxwell.
The 33-year-old Bidwell, who battled testicular cancer early in his career, has played in 144 consecutive games over nine seasons with the Packers and Buccaneers.
A product of the University of Oregon and a fourth-round pick of Green Bay in 1999, Bidwell has compiled 727 punts for 31,085 yards and an average of 42.8 yards per attempt.
Maxwell, also from Oregon, appeared in four games with San Francisco in 2005 and five with Cincinnati in 2007.
