Playoff-bound Mercury Take Down Sparks

Diana Taurasi had 20 points for the Mercury, who have won three of their last five games. Penny Taylor chipped in 17 points and five rebounds off the bench, while Temeka Johnson totaled 14 and six assists.
Lisa Leslie had 23 points to pace the Sparks, who had a six-game winning streak snapped. Betty Lennox finished with 18 points and six rebounds, while Tina Thompson had 17 points to go along with a season-high seven assists.
Los Angeles forward Candace Parker missed the game because of unspecified personal reasons.
