Virginia Home Sales Plunge 11 Percent
posted 10:06 am Thu September 06, 2007 - Richmond, VA
Home sales in Virginia fell 11 percent in July compared with the same month a year ago. The Virginia Association of Realtors reports that nearly all 24 regions of the state reported declines in home sales last month.

The statewide median sales price rose to $219,900 in July from $210,100 the same time last year. The median price means half the houses sell for more and half for less.
