Hoyas To Open Season Nov. 10
posted 3:22 pm Thu September 06, 2007 - Washington
Georgetown's quest for back-to-back appearances in the Final Four begins November 10th with a game against William & Mary.
The Hoyas' 2007-08 schedule includes nonconference road games against two NCAA tournament teams from last season: Old Dominion on November 28th and Memphis on December 22nd. The Hoyas lost at home to Old Dominion last year.
Georgetown will also host Michigan on November 15th and will complete a two-year, home & home series by visiting Ball State on November 21st. The games against Ball State were meant to match Hoyas coach John Thompson, III against his brother, but Ronny Thompson resigned after one season with the Cardinals because of what he called a "racially hostile work environment."
The Hoyas are scheduled to play 12 times on national television.
