This definitely reflects terribly on that organization if they are there to supposedly help people and stand up for people's rights and one of their top people who is supposed to be an advocate for rights did this. Sure most of them wouldn't do this but just this one doing it says alot about how you cant trust any organization to be all that its cut out to be. Who deserves their rights to be protected more than children who are dependent on adults and instead of trying to help them he used these images to satisfy his own inner curiousity or need and recreational purposes. I'm surprised a bunch of people came out in support of him because even if it were a mental illness, that's a very dangerous kind of mental illness and if he has pedophilia he shouldn't just walk free and why would they want him to. He's a lawyer, he's not dumb and if the urge was so strong that means it was not an abboration of some sort but a real case of pedophilia. And I don't understand why they can't trace these images and video postings back to the source and get the people who did this to the children and who's custody the children are probably still in.

So, if you're the president of an ACLU chapter, you get special treatment under the law? Who CARES what "led him astray?" The fact that he LIKED seeing children as young as 6 tortured and assaulted sexually tells us he belongs in prison for a LOT more than seven years. The children he watched so gleefully have to live with their molestation and torture for the rest of their lives. And people wonder why so many children are committing suicide these days!
