Metro to Stay Open Late for Terps Game
posted 5:32 am Wed September 12, 2007 - WASHINGTON
Metro is planning on staying open until 2 a.m. on Thursday to help accommodate crowds for the University of Maryland Football Game.
Metro will have additional personnel and additional trains ready at the College Park Metrorail station to help accommodate the crowds as the Terps take on the West Virginia Mountaineers at College Park.
The later closing will also allow area residents wishing to pay respects to the former first lady of D.C., Effi Barry, who will lay in repose at the Wilson Building until midnight on Thursday.
The closest Metrorail stations to the District's Government Building are Metro Center and Federal Triangle.
Meanwhile, the game kicks-off at 7:45 p.m.
