Company Donates Condoms to D.C. After Complaints
   posted 9:50 am Thu September 13, 2007 - Washington
The company that makes Trojan condoms is donating 350,000 of them to D.C. to help fight HIV and AIDS. A spokeswoman for Mayor Adrian Fenty says the condoms should arrive from the New Jersey company by the end of the month.

They will become part of the city's free distribution of condoms through clinics and community groups.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? The donation comes after reports last week of complaints over hundreds of thousands of condoms because of their packaging.

Some groups returned thousands of condoms to the city because they said the paper wrappers break easily.

Health department officials have said they don't think there's a problem with the nearly 650,000 condoms they've given out.

It is hard to believe that adults are still not strong enough to say no to sex, without a condom. AIDs and getting pregnant can happen the first time or the one time having unprotected sex.
