Car Crashes Into a Cemetery

Three people are recovering after a car they were riding in flipped over and crashed into a Southeast cemetery.   Police say it happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 1400 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast. The car crashed into the Adas Israel Cemetery.

Three people in the car were trapped inside.  Two of the victims were rescued from the vehicle by area neighbors.  

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?The third victim was extricated from the car by D.C. Fire and Rescue personnel.

The victims were transported to a nearby hospital.

Their conditions have not been released.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
