to answer your question about white students stats: artcile states: Over the past decade, the school system has increased from about 20,000 to 27,000 students. The number of white students dropped by about 3,000 during that period, while the number of black students has more than doubled.

The article talks about the number of black students rising, but I find it interesting that no one questions what the statistics are for the white students. Are they still there, have their numbers decreased? Or does only the statistics for black students make news? What about the hispanic or asian students?

desideratum,

I agree that manners and proper grammer are lacking in many kids that come from those areas, but lets not label all of them. I've seen many kids do a complete 360 when placed in areas that are condusive to learning and proper social skills. What's happening to Charles County happened to Montgomery County about 15 to 20 years ago.

The new residents come from PG County and DC where manners and grammer skills are not taught to the children. Thus, residential communities and places like the St. Charles Mall and schools are now mirroring the PG County communities, the Iverson Mall and all the troubled schools in PG and DC.

Worse, there are immigrants selling flowers now at intersections in Charles County...just like PG County. Soon, Charles County will no longer have the tax base it used to because everyone will be moving elsewhere.
