Police Probe String of Commercial Burglaries

Police believe there's a connection between 24 break-ins since the end of March, including seven on Friday between 2:30 and 3:20 a.m. Several businesses were hit more than once. In the most recent spate of crimes, glass was smashed from the front doors and cash registers were emptied at businesses along the Little River Turnpike corridor, Bradlick Shopping Center and Commerce Street.
Police are urging business owners to keep cash in a safe or locked box away from the register overnight. They're also recommending video surveillance and alarm systems.Not a member yet? Click Here to sign up.
